The best time to visit Oman is October to April, when temperatures are mild and pleasant (20–30°C). Avoid June–August if visiting inland areas, as temperatures can exceed 45°C. The southern Dhofar region enjoys a unique monsoon (Khareef) season from June–September.
Oman is a conservative Muslim country. Always cover shoulders and knees when visiting mosques, souqs, and public spaces. Remove shoes before entering mosques. Swimwear is acceptable at hotel pools and private beaches. Avoid public displays of affection. Respect local customs and traditions at all times.
