You will arrive at the Muscat International Airport. Upon your arrival you proceed straight to the Immigration. Immigration & customs are quick & simple. Upon arrival at the General arrival lounge, you will be met by our friendly & efficient International Happy Travel & Tourism chauffer who will assist you to the comforts of our vehicle to drive you the hotel.

After breakfast you will meet Happy Travel representative and he/she will handover you the 4X4 car keys. From Muscat to Nizwa. You will be entering the Western Hajar. You will have the opportunity to explore the souq, very busy at this time of the day and the fort. Nizwa Fort in Oman has a huge circular shape. It was built by Imam Sultan bin Saif bin Malik Al Yarubi around 1650. The castle is linked to a fortress with labyrinthine corridors intricate, and near the castle building and the fort there is the traditional Nizwa market, which was famous for its flourishing handicraft industries.

Next stop Wadi Tanuf. It is almost 20 km away from Nizwa

Tanuf is one of Oman’s most historical villages between two of the biggest cities Nizwa and Bahla in Al Dakhiliya governate. Tanuf is famous for the drinking water brand, bottled in a factory near the Wadi of Tanuf but it was also famous for the history it beholds in the ruins of the village. At the base of the mountains, old town of Tanuf is located at the edge of Jabal Akhdar near Wadi Tanuf.

After your breakfast your experience continues through the untamed and rugged countryside. Your journey continues to the top of Jebel Shams, “Sun Mountain”, Oman’s highest peak at 3009 meters. The cooler temperatures will surprise as you reach the top to get a spectacular view of the “Grand Canyon”. Sleeping in high altitude will get you closer to the stars.

Trek to the Abandoned village, walk is not compulsory. The view is just magnificent…. Enter Wadi Nakhr, a narrow canyon, geologically spectacular, being one of the deepest canyons on the planet. Go deep inside to visit the village where the main activity is weaving, especially Omani rugs ……

The old stone village of Misfat al Abriyeen, invisible from the plain, is one of the most photogenic in Oman, with its terraced palm groves on both sides of a narrow valley. Don’t miss its superb viewpoint, take a stroll in the village or a walk in the palm grove.

After breakfast your journey will start to Jabrin Castle. Home of the Yaruba Imams during the 17th and 18th centuries, Jabrin castle stands out among Omani forts by its rooms beautifully decorated and fitted with carpets and ancient furniture.

Later you can drive to of the most astonishing landscapes of northern Oman, Jebel Akdhar, the green Mountains. Explore the rural life of Oman and witness the beauty of Sayq plateau.

You will proceed to the top of Jebel Akhdar, which is also famous for its rose, fruit and nut plantations, and there are many small villages which farm some of the best in Oman. Depending on the season you can visit the rose water factory. Rose water from Jebel Akhdar is very famous in Oman and exported throughout the region. This tour is a delightful way to escape the heat in the cooler mountain air and spectacular surroundings.

After breakfast you will depart on your 4wd journey towards Sharqiyah Region of Oman. Ibra is one of the oldest cities in Oman and was once a center of trade, religion, education and art. The city acquired its importance as an important meeting point at the base of the Sharqiya.

The road runs along the mountains for a while and the crosses low rocky relied areas to finally reach a narrow plainbetween the Eastern Hajar mountains and the dunes of the Wahiba desert.

Wahiba Sands which is famous for its multicolored sand which varies from black to honey-golden and even to white. In the heart of the golden sand of Sharqiyah Desert nestled amongst stunning and ever-changing patterns of dunes.

The camp offers a luxurious Bedouin style air-conditioned accommodation and a variety of complimentary toiletries. The location of the camp in the wilderness of the desert, emphasize the beauty of the golden sand dunes surrounding it. You will made to feel welcome with the warmth and the kindness of the Omani Hospitality.

After an adrenaline fueled 4WD safari across-150meter dunes and with a spectacular view of the sunset, you will be ready to experience the delicious Arabic Cuisine, splendor and live entertainment the camp has to offer. Whilst you sit around a camp fire under the starry sky, you will be able to look back over your day and appreciate the once in a life time experience.

After breakfast spend some time at Wadi Bani Khalid, a beautiful oasis in the middle of barren mountains. You’ll enjoy a stop here to dip your toes in the beautiful turquoise pools (you can only swim with a very modest swimsuit).

Your next stop will be SUR. A lovely seaside city, Sur is one of the few Omani towns that is worth a visit. Its strategic position – a peninsula between the sea and a laguna – and its old white houses with beautiful doors add up to bring about a real touch of charm. The last traditional dhow building yard is located here – a must visit! As a fishing town, its fish souq is worth a look. Finally, a watchtower perched on a hill provides a superb view of the area.

After that next stop will be Ras Al Hadd. Gather after dinner and set out for Ras Al Junaiyz, a sanctuary for the Green Turtles. When you arrive, you’ll have a thirty-minute walk to the beach in the dark over uneven ground. You can use a red headlamp, but not white light. Search the beach for nests, and when you find a turtle, stay and observe it for a while. If you’re lucky, you might see it laying eggs! You can take photos with no flash. This experience will be about two hours long. As with all wildlife, sightings cannot be guaranteed. Sometimes there are only a few turtles, and sometimes there are many – it varies daily.

After the breakfast tour proceeds to Wadi Shab which means a wadi between the cliffs. The most famous wadi in Oman! Leave your car right under the highway and start walking upstream on the mostly dry river bed. Marvel at this deep canyon and reach the first pools. Continue further along the base of the cliff and between the small boulders until you cannot avoid swimming… up to an incredible small pool with a waterfall hidden under some huge

rocks! Tour continues towards to Fins beach, coastal road and gazelle reserve.

Close to the fishermen’s village of Fins is a superb white pebble beach with turquoise waters. The road that goes along the coast between Fins and the Wadi al Arbiyeen is worth the detour for its nice views upon the sea. It also passes through a protected area hosting some gazelles.

You can pick your 4WD vehicle in the morning from the sea side, drive inside the mountains on a dirt road along the bed of this spectacular wadi, dotted with some villages and palm groves. You will continue to Wadi Al Arbeieen is located in the Al Sharqiyah region in Oman. Wadi Al Arbeieen (or Arbaeen) is one of the most spectacular and worth visiting Oman wadis. It provides the ultimate soundtrack of nature, that refers to the sounds of running water, birds and the wind flowing through the narrow channels. You will enjoy a dip in fresh water pools, and experience the serenity of walking through a wadi. It is a pretty enjoyable wadi, featuring lots of rock-crawling and water crossing with the car. Enjoy the scene of a constant flow of water from the eastern Hajar mountains that provide a source to the surrounding villages and date palm farms. You will have the chance to have so many photo opportunities. The wadi has a rich flora, with pool after pool of picturesque green water among huge boulders. Have a chance to go through a village with plantations of dates, lemons and mangoes…

After Breakfast you can trek for 1 hrs at Wadi AL Arbeieen and then start your journey towards Muscat. Rest day will be for your leisure. Evening returns the car.
